A Short List of Federal Crimes

  • These are crimes commonly prosecuted in the federal court system:
    • Transporting a stolen vehicle across state lines
    • Lying to a government agency with intent to defraud
    • Mailing something obscene, or that incites crime
    • Transporting or importing drugs
    • Forging government checks
    • Possessing stolen mail, or things that were stolen from someone’s mail – like credit cards
    • Bank robbery
