  • People under age 21
  • People who are not U.S. citizens
  • People who can’t have a gun according to a federal law (regardless of what Tennessee law says)
  • People facing a felony charge, or already convicted of a felony
  • People facing some misdemeanor charges, or having a misdemeanor conviction, such as domestic violence or stalking
  • People ordered by a restraining order to stay away from someone else
  • People with two or more DUI convictions in any state in the last 10 years
