More “At Will” Employment Rights

  • You can’t get fired if you are hurt on the job and file for Workers’ Compensation.
  • You can’t get fired if you refuse to do something illegal your employer asks you to do.
  • You can’t get fired for being on jury duty. You must be paid your regular wage if you have had the job for at least six months.
  • You can’t get fired from your job for taking time off to do your military duties, and you cannot be refused a job if you are in the Tennessee National Guard and will need to take time off for drills and duties.
